Iolo Williams, from BBC Springwatch, will officially open the new Ingrebourne Valley Visitor Centre at Hornchurch Country Park on Saturday 3 October 2015.

The highlight of the day will be a Spitfire fly past, marking 100 years on this very day since Suttons Farm became a military airfield.

Celebrations will continue on Sunday 4 October with a fun dog show in the park and a ticketed theatre performance in the marquee of RAF Hornchurch-based show ‘On a Wing and a Prayer’ performed by Rainham-based, Lightnin and Thunder Drama Group.
